    Xbox One S Major Graphical Issues


    Hello all,

    I have a strange issue that I have tinkered with but cannot find a straight answer to. To sum it up; whenever I start up more modern games (specifically the ones I have, Halo Infinite, Crusader Kings 3, Red Dead Redemption 2) there are major graphical glitches that start subtle and increase, typically causing the game to crash. BUT when I play older games or Apps, this does not happen.

    I have spent hours google’ing glitches and bugs for said games but I cant find anything that matches what exactly is happening on my screen. I see strange flashing lines connected to character models, big orbs of Green/Red/Blue gently flashing all over the screen.

    I have tried restarting my xbox, disconnecting power and back, put the power directly into the wall and not on a power strip, I have tried all video settings, uninstalled and reinstalled games, I have factory restarted my xbox twice, lastly I have moved my xbox and even put a fan on it to see if it was overheating. Nothing I have tried has fixed it. I’m downloading more modern games to test later. I dont understand why it is high end games affected and not apps, home screen, or older games.

    It sounds like it must be the games specifically that is wrong but it is uncanny the similar graphical issues and nothing online about it for any of the games. Any advice would be helpful, I’m considering just having it sent for repairs though.

    Have you already reset your console removing everything?

    Since this is happening with multiple games and you have performed all the necessary steps that will be the next resort.

    ive tried my Xbox One S and Xbox One X on a 4k tv while playing Sea of thieves.

    Must say the One X made a major upgrade in graphics thanks to enhanced HDR

    Hey Jason,

    All Xbox One games are playable on both the One S and One X. The major difference between the two is the graphical power behind the Xbox One X as it is capable of 4K gaming on select titles.
