    Hi.

    I have a simple question to make.

    I got my brand new white ONE S 500GB today and i couldn't be happier. That said, i noticed that, when turned off, makes a soft/low normally unnoticeable (you hear it if you put your ear at 20-30cm from the fan hole). The sound is similar to that of a fan
    spinning slowly/softly.

    Yes, yes, i know what you're about to say. Thing is that ENERGY SAVING MODE is ON, so the console isn't on Stand By in order to FAST BOOT/START. I know that, i have that off because it's not really essential for me.

    All i'm wondering in here is one thing:

    Is it normal? Why does it happen?

    Needless to say, unplugged console equals low/soft sound gone.

    Can anyone help me? Thank you very much in advance!

    Xbox One Still Making Noise When Off

    My standard edition Xbox One is doing the same thing. It's quiet, but noticeable enough when everything else is turned off at night. It sounds like a fan or the hard drive might still be running.

    Can the Xbox One do this? Please say yes!

    If anything sounds like the ps4 always is in low power mode when turned off so has less options than Microsoft which has off or sleep options when shutting down, just like windows I guess Xbox One S Low/Soft fan-like sound when turned off :)

    It doesn’t turn off by itself but the sound it makes isn’t like a fan sound, it sounds like your holding a piece of plastic onto a fan blade and it makes a rattling noise.

    Hi!

    Sounds like your Xbox is set to Instant On which the fan would still be on. When turning off your Xbox with this setting, it would be the same as putting your computer to sleep.
