    Xbox One S losing network settings


    This started happening about a week or two ago.

    I have a wireless internet connection to my Xbox One S. Put it in standby mode.

    When I turn it back on, it never keeps the network connection. It isn't connected to XBL. I go to network settings and it doesn't save the settings. I either have to reconfigure it or just do a restart console and everything else is back to normal.

    but it's everytime i turn off the console and turn it back on.

    never had a issue ever w/ xbox one other than this one.

    Yes probably wired connection would be better but i don't have a wire in the other room i want to drag across. thats the reason we have wireless right?

    I'm sure others are experiencing this. Any solution or did something break on one of the updates?

    Yeah I have a similar issue when once in awhile it says, wired connected when it's not and the internet doesn't work. When this happens I do a complete shutdown and unplug the power cord and then it's perfectly fine, it calmed down in frequency

    Xbox One loses Network settings during instant on mode

    If you have your console to instant on the first one is caused by that. It's cause you're still connected to the server when you "turn off" your console but since it's really just in standby your character is just standing there so the game eventually just kicks you from the servers. No idea what causes the second issue.

    Weirdly I have pretty much the same issue with my Xbox 360 with the wireless adapter. When I start the console it isn't connected to Xbox Live, yet I can hit 'connect to Live' and it does so.

    I've got all the setting correct for automatic connections, it just won't do it.

    Same problem for me. The Xbox One refuses to recognize my wireless network and tell´s me it´s the wrong network password.

    It isn´t because 3 Iphones, 3 Ipads, two separate TV-sets and one PC finds the networks AND recognizes the same password.

    This must be and hardware issue with the Xbox One!?

    Can the Xbox see the WiFi network under the “Set up wireless network” in the Xbox Network settings?

    Which Xbox do you have? Xbox One, S or X? 360?

    When you say recently moved, is this to a place with a new WiFi router or the same one you brought with you?
