    XBOX One S: Listing non working UHD Bluray disk


    Hello everyone,

    Like several people I have issues with several UHD disks. I have already tried to clear the persistent storage, disabled the bd live, reinstalled the app, without success. On 2 over 3 movies, the app just show a never ending loading screen. The disks play fine
    in a Panasonic reader (tested by the shop where I bought them, so refund or exchange of the disks denied).

    It seems I'm not alone in this case, so why not trying to reference the problematic disks? For me:

    System: Xbox One S 2To

    Working:

    • Kingsman (France release)
    Not working:

    • Deadpool (France release)
    • The revenant (France release)

    UHD Bluray won't play in 4K on 4K non HDR TV

    So I have a Samsung 4K non HDR TV, and my xbox one s will show up in 4K when I am on the dashboard, but when I install a 4K HDR bluray disk it only displays in 1080p. Any reason for this? Do the UHD bluray disks not play in just 4K if its also not HDR?

    The Xbox One S 4K Blu-Ray Player Is A Disaster...Good Job!!

    xbox one s : firmware 10.0.16299.4037

    uhd bluray and bluray disc, uhd bluray is bleached!! bluray noise levels are consistently elevated!!

    I thought I had cataracts or color blindness....This console can really play uhd bluray or bluray?

    Xbox One S Blu Ray Player Issues

    Every bluray I have (one 4k UHD Bluray and dozens of regular bluray titles) does not work with the Xbox One S I have. They work just fine in my other Xbox One (regular 500gb, not S or elite XBO, and obviously not the 4k UHD bluray) but every time I get an
    HDCP error for 5 minutes flipping between the error screen and bluray app frozen, then it just tells me it cannot read the disc. Apparently the Xbox One S needs a different bluray app than the regular Xbox One bluray app. Maybe if the community was allowed
    to make a bluray app for the Xbox One S it could save Microsoft some face since I have more faith in the community at fixing a problem via their own bluray app than Microsoft fixing it.

    What regions of blu ray and DVD does Series X support?

    If it's a regular bluray or dvd then yes they are region locked

    However uhd or regiion free marked disks ones arent

    Xbox One S doesn't recognise 4K compatibility on a 4K projector

    Well two things first xbox one s is NOT a 4k console

    Second it's only when you play UHD movies or streaming UHD content that you get 4k from an xbox one s

    Projectors aren't the greatest for 4k compatibility it's more for.computers and blurays then consoles which are more stricter to vesa

    so the issue is the bluray player app in the microsoft store.

    it needs to be updated with the latest codecs.

    please update the bluray player app.
