Xbox One S, Lego Dimensions Toypad?

My 360 console died last week (power button would light, but no lights around the ring and no video output). So, I bought the Xbox One S Minecraft Favorites bundle this week and replaced my Lego Dimensions starter kit for 360 with the starter kit for Xbox
One. I installed Lego Dimensions disk and was prompted to install a 17.5 GB update for Dimensions. Starting a new game in Dimensions, I am prompted to connect the Dimensions toypad, but I have tried all three USb connections (1 on the front, 2 in back) and
the toypad is not seen on any of them. I tried the 360 toypad, too, and still no luck. It makes me think the console is the issue and not the Lego Dimensions Starter kit. I wrote to Lego/Warner for their guidance tonight, but trying Microsoft here. ANyone
have any guidance on why my Dimensions toypad won't work on my new console? I know Kinect requires an adapter, but it seems like Kinect has an external power supply, maybe... Is that the issue? No power to the toypad? Do I need an adapter like I would
for Kinect?

Lego Dimensions

I have the Lego Dimensions Starter Pack 71173. And wish to use it on a XBOX one S. Are they compatible ? If not What version do I need for the Xbox one S ?

Backwards compatability is a joke

I bought my new Xbox one S console from Smyth Toys and was told it has backward compatability for Xbox 360 games. What a load of rubbish. My son has 12 games: Lego Dimensions, Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7, Lego Star Wars III, Lego Jurassic World, Lego
Bathman 3, Lego Marvel Avengers, Lego Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Tiger Woods Golf, Minecraft Storymode, Minecraft and Lego Dimensions and non of them have backward compatability!!!

This is absolutely ridiculous especially Lego Dimensions which is only 12 months old and cost me £45.

This is not on Microsoft you are trying to rip us all off buy making us buy new xbox one versions!

These are really popular games for kids to you need to sort this out.

I'm sorry to see any issues with the new console and the LEGO Dimensions Toy pad! I wouldn't count the Xbox as the issue just yet. Have you been able to test the toy pad on another console? This will help determine if it's the toy pad or the console. If
you don't have another console, you may be able to bring the toy pad to a local game store to see if they will let you test it on one of their consoles, or maybe to a Microsoft Store.

That would be the extent of troubleshooting we could do, since this is a third party device. Hopefully LEGO/WB Games has more answers for you, but you may want to consider returning the starter kit to the retailer you purchased it from for a replacement.

Hello. It seems that this Lego Dimension Pack is meant for the Xbox 360, and is not backwards compatible to work on the Xbox one. So, I guess she has bought the console (Xbox S) separately from the Lego Dimensions disc version.

Now, I just checked the Xbox store and it is still there even for free.

So, I would just go on their store on the console and download it right away.

I'm 34 and love the Lego games the only one I won't be playing is Lego dimensions because the toys are a waste of money

If it's for Xbox One, it will also work for Xbox One S and Xbox One X.

There is an Xbox 360 version of the Lego dimensions starter pack and it's not compatible. Make sure to get the Xbox One.
