    xbox one S Kinect not playing game


    I have the xbox one S and the kinect sensor with the adaptor. The sensor works fine we can talk on it all the time and it recognizes us.. However when I insert a xbox kinect game the game will not play. It say game not compatible.

    A Kinect is an accessory for an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One, not a console itself. If it's an Xbox One game, it can be played on an Xbox One or Xbox One S. If he has an Xbox 360, it will not work.

    Yes, absolutely. You can also play BC 360 games with users who are still playing on Xbox 360.

    All Xbox One games (but not kinect games) will work on on Xbox Series X/S and you can play these games with others even if they haven't yet bought the latest console.

    Some few months back, Microsoft officially discontinued the Kinect adapter accessory for plugging the Xbox One Kinect Sensor into the Xbox One S/X. The only remaining stock is likely available from resellers on Amazon/eBay (at a
    high price). The only other alternative is to just play your Xbox One Kinect games on an original model Xbox One console, as that has the Kinect port built-in on the back.

    If you mean an adapter to use the Xbox 360 Kinect sensor on the Xbox One, that does not exist.
