    Xbox One (S) Kinect adaptor


    For those of us that upgrade to an Xbox One (S) through a third party retailer such as GameStop, Best Buy, or Target, etc. What is the process, after we have registered our systems and kinects, to get the free Kinect adaptor for the new system? Is one mailed
    to us after we register the new system? Do we fill out some type of email survey? Thank you.

    XBOX ONE S and KINECT CYCLING ON AND OFF

    Hi

    Recently received my adaptor to use my Kinect with my new xbox one S however when all plugged in the Kinect keeps cycling on and off in around 5 second intervals - any ideas or just faulty adaptor?

    Xbox One (S) Kinect adaptor

    Hey LoneWolfx202 -

    If you own an Xbox One console, an Xbox One Kinect Sensor, and an Xbox One S console, the Kinect Adapter will be available for free to customers for a limited time. You will need the serial number for all three devices to get the free Xbox Kinect Adapter.
    Once this process goes live, you will want to contact our phone or chat support team to begin that process. Location of purchase is not an issue.

    To get a head start, start by visiting Device Support to register your existing Xbox One console and your Kinect 2.0 sensor. As long as you have the serial numbers for all three, you will be good to go!

    I have registered my Xbox One and Xbox Kinect and will shortly get my Xbox One S. I was to know the procedure to order the Xbox One Kinect adapter. Can I make the request here or on another page?

    i registered all my devices online and used the online chat with microsoft to order my kinect adapter. i received it today less than a week later. Problem is wont power up the kinect. ive tried all the troubleshooting steps and nothing

    XBOX X - what about Kinect support?

    The Xbox One Kinect is no longer manufactured. You would need an Xbox One version, the 360 doesn't work on the One. You would also need an adaptor cable because the S and X do not have a dedicated Kinect connection port.

    So the answer is, it is supported, there are few games that use it and getting your hands on the kinect and cable are extremely difficult.

    Why is it so difficult to find a Kinect device for Xbox One?

    I really wish I had stocked up on the Xbox One S Kinect adaptors early on, didn't expect MS to discontinue the hardware so quickly. Unfortunately it was seen a huge flop.

    I think it's absolutely shocking Microsoft are not supplying XBOX ONE to XBOX ONE X gamers a free kinect adaptor, its disgrace borderline criminal.

    MICROSOFT FORCED EARLY ADAPTORS TO GET THE KINECT - its not the consumers fault the kinect failed so WHY are we being penalised.
