    Xbox One S keeps seizing up and shutting off while playing online


    So I got the new Xbox One S Gears of War Edition for Christmas 3 months ago. About two weeks after I got it, it started to seize up and turn itself off during online game play. I tried switching to a wired connection and, instead of shutting off, it will
    just randomly disconnect itself from the internet. By the time I go to check the connection, the Xbox has already reconnected itself and says the internet is fine. I have tried EVERYTHING I can to fix this problem (hard reset, factory reset, etc.) but nothing
    has worked. This issue hasn't driven me to the point of not even wanting to play games anymore because I know what the end result will be. I'm at the point of sending my Xbox in for repairs but I feel like This is an issue with my internet, not the console.
    Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Xbox one keeps randomly shutting off

    What's up.

    My xbox one keeps randomly shutting off while I'm playing games. It can't be a ventilation problem, as just now I turned it on and was playing a game for 20 min before it shut off. I've tried restarting, resetting wireless router, resetting the power supply,
    and nothing is working. Anyone know what's going on? My xbox is 3 years old. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

    Hey there Special K!

    Hmm. So connecting your console to your home network via Ethernet cable has resulted in your console staying on but random disconnecting from your network now, is that correct? If that's the case, what ISP are you on and what is the make/model of your networking
    hardware? It could be that you're getting dropped randomly. Have you looked into

    port forwarding     on your network to see if that helps?

    Keep us updated so we can try some troubleshooting with you.

    disconnected or no connection to XBL

    yes and no. it wireless and i have not touched the router besides to turn it off. just talked to iland they had me hook up laptop directly and run speed test and it checked out fine but if i try to play net flix or play online it lags and shuts off internet
    completley... i run speed test four or five times while online and it fluxuates everywhere. oh it does it while the xbox is off too.
