    Xbox One S Issues, Connection, and Apps


    So I have a few issues I'm experiencing.

    First off is I will be randomly disconnected and/or signed out of Xbox live and user profile on my Xbox for seemingly no reason. I will be using an app or playing a game (single or multiplayer) and the notification bubble will pop up saying "bye" and I'll
    be kicked back to the dashboard. If I'm playing a single player game I can understand the occasional Live disconnect but a full blown sign out to dashboard and no user profile is ridiculous. I even have a nice strong WiFi signal and even when it doesn't sign
    me out completely i will sometime connect and disconnect to Live multiple times in the time span of a minute and neither my PC or phone Xbox apps have issues with connection and my Live account. These issues also occur when I'm the only one home and am the
    only user on the network

    Next is an issue I'm having when switching between apps. For example when I start up Hulu and my screen will go black momentarily which is expected but then my tv will move to a screen saver saying no input detected and if i wait a bit longer the video appears
    and the app is booted up fully. these same things happen when i hit the start button on the app in the dashboard and tell it to fully quit. But i am able to hit the guide button and brows the dashboard with out issue. the issue is only visible when starting
    or quiting an app.

    For the sake of added information I have a 500gb Xbox One S and a 4k HDR tv

  2. youtube app bug?

    My xbox one is hard wired via an ethernet cable and I'm still having the same issues , my 360 though runs the youtube app flawlessly so I don't think it's my connection.

    Game streaming on my new Xbox One S is pixellated

    My XBOX ONE (non S) was silky smooth for Game Streaming, but my One S has severe pixellation / artifact issues.

    I have 19.21.7006.00000 Xbox App on Win 10, and the latest Software on the One S.

    I'm hardwired into the same Gigabit switch as the One S with my laptop, with GigE connections all round, and i've tried rebooting all parts of the network.

    Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this to see if it will help.

    Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test
    the results.

    That was the first thing I tried and it didn't help anything. I also reinstalled Hulu and it did the same thing once but hasn't done it since so I guess the problems solved there. As far as the second issue goes I have a Wireless router with both 2.5Ghz
    and 5Ghz bands. I had my Xbox connected to the 5Ghz frequency when i was having the issues and since i switched it to the 2.5Ghz I haven't been having any of the sign in related issues.

    I'm happy to see that your issues appear to be resolved, and I appreciate this little detail you've provided above. There's a few devices out there that specifically have the issues you're describing while on 5GHz frequency. Do you happen to have Verizon
    (if you live in the US) or Virgin (if you live in the UK)? If not, post back with what your modem manufacturer and model number and router manufacturer and model number so that we can dig into if these devices have any known issues with Xbox Live. Xbox One S Issues, Connection, and Apps :)
