Xbox one S is not allowing me to (+Add new) account

Please try setting up a mobile hotspot connection using your phone, then connect the console to the hotspot connection. Try adding your new account after that and see if it works.

If that doesn't work, please try the following steps one at a time to resolve the issue:



Solution 1: Do a power cycle to clear the cache of the console



1. Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4, Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox console.



Solution 2: Do a factory reset



1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > System > Console info.

3. Select Reset console.

4. Reset and keep my games & apps.

The factory reset will direct you to the initial setup screen where you can retain your previous settings.

On the console, bring up the Guide by pressing the Nexus button (X), go to Settings>>Account>>Family Settings>>Access Restrictions and check whether making new accounts checkbox is enabled or disabled.

I am trying to just add any account to both consoles. Both consoles don't have any accounts tied to them at this time. So when I try adding accounts to the consoles, the consoles go through a loading scene as if it's trying to open up the sign in page, but before it can show me the page it closes back out with no indication of any error. The difference between the consoles is the 2nd console is now wired to the network (this one has been factory reset) and the 1st console is wirelessly connected to the network. From what I am aware these consoles aren't banned. I have a account with credentials to input into the consoles but the consoles don't allow me to get to the sign in page. Could there be something else hardware wise at play here?

Once yo have done the factory reset, during the initial setup, it will prompt you if you like to retain your previous settings. This should be the same setup you had before doing the factory reset.
