Xbox One S is less advanced for netflix than my 2014 UHD tv

There is a massive problem with this xbox....again. I have 30mbps- and even when i had 20mbps my netflix app downloaded directly on my LG UHD tv showed & played all 4K material. I now have 30mbps. My netflix app on my tv still plays all the 4K uhd material
but this supposed advanced xbox only plays and lists 1080p- no 4K content listed. I called support and they said u need a min of 30mbps-so im sure my download speed fluctuates but why my 2 year old 4K tv can stream all the uhd stuff and my xbox one S cannot
is beyond my reasoning. Also, why the heck cant i download any recent movies that are out on uhd blu ray in the form of rentals. Vudu even offers 4K purxhases....but prob not on this xbox app. I think i may trade this disaster in for a PS5/neo if it has
downloadable rentals of new 4K movies......and if i only need 20mbps, like my tv does to stream 4K. Advanced Xbox.......sure.....

also, for some of you, make sure your streaming plan includes uhd because netflix started to charge an extra amount fir 4K access.

4k problems on xbox one s

I can't get my One S to kick into 4k for anything! All because it wrongfully identifies my TV as not capable of any of it yet I have UHD, 24Hz, and 50Hz enabled in the Advanced options. Whether it's Netflix, the dashboard, or Blu-Ray, my system stays in
1080p because my TV auto-detects the output resolution. Because of the asinine implementation of how Microsoft detects what the TV is capable of, my XBOX One S is going to get packed up and shipped back to Amazon!

 

Will Xbox One support H.265?

I just tested my speed test via the speed test app on my ipad and my wifi. I get 26.78 down and 6.24 up.....yet on my xbox one S it days download speed only 18.60 down and 6.09 up, NAT open. So......Xbox/Microsoft youve got a big, massive issue on tour
hands with sometging throttling my speeds diwn on your system. Yet I'll reiterate again, i used to have only 20mbps and my tv's netflix app did 4K. How do i know, there was a Ultra HD 4K category and when i played the movie or show, if i hit pause tge ultra
HD symbol would appear in the upper corner where the HD symbol usually is- the fact that it showed me a 4K category meant i had fast enough speed. Now precisely what is wrong with your console? What design flaw in either the hatdware or softeare us causing
this? Is it time for me to trade this in for a PS Neo? I bet that console will have uhd rentals, a Vudu app with 4K purchases, like i already have. It'll pribably have MGO uhd content and most assuredly have UHD digital rentals and purchaess via download
onto the hard drive. Where was the effort put into this fonsole because i dint see it.
