    Xbox One S - initial update error


    My partner and I preordered the xbox one s from Amazon UK on the day MS announced the console. It arrived on 2nd Aug but we did not unpack it until the day after when the new TV we ordered for the new xbox arrived. Unfortunately after it downloaded the initial
    update the xbox restarted and the 'applying update' screen appears for a few seconds and then I get the error code e100 00000703 80910008.

    I have tried all the solutions from when people had this issue with the orig xbox one. (mine day one console never had those problems thankfully) and I used the diagnostic tool on MS support site. I have tried the bind and eject button solution and tried
    a usb flash offline update. Still it gets to 'applying update' and then the same error message.

    MS support gave me a ref number to give to amazon for return. AMazon UK have none in stock so can only offer me a refund. I really don't want to return the console if there is some solution out there I could try first. I have scoured the UK for anywhere
    that might have a console in stock with no luck (except blatant profiteering on ebay). I have no hope of getting a console anyrime soon ......so if there is something I could try (anything) I would be grateful. Disappointed is not a strong enough word to express
    how we are feeling.

    Brand new Xbox One S not doing start-up update.

    Just bought a new Xbox One S and trying to do the initial update that's about 1gb. It keeps popping up with an error saying that there's been an issue with the update, with the code 0x8923000a, which the Xbox doesn't seem to have listed ANYWHERE that I can
    find.

    Xbox One S - initial update error

    An E100 error cannot be solved without the Xbox Support. If you tried several methods before, than it seems that a hardware error caused this and has to be repaired by Microsoft. Sorry to hear that, the only way left is calling Microsoft or Amazon again
    and try to find a solution with them.

    Thanks for your reply ..... I do realise I am grasping at straws at this point. Had there been consoles available in the UK I would have already returned this one. Not even MS store has them. Does anyone know if they plan to restock with the 2tb anytime
    soon?

    The Xbox One S has a very big hype right now and i think no one can give you exact dates about restocking. Usually big vendors like Amazon should get back in stock fast so theres unfortunately no other way than waiting.

    Thanks for your reply ..... I do realise I am grasping at straws at this point. Had there been consoles available in the UK I would have already returned this one. Not even MS store has them. Does anyone know if they plan to restock with the 2tb anytime

    Apparently error code 0x8923000a doesn't exist?

    I got this too!

    Just opened a brand new One S and the initial update failed with the exact same error codes.

    Each time I tried to update it would progress a little further with each attempt. 20%, 23%, 26% etc....

    I wonder if I kept attempting, it would eventually update, lol.
