Xbox one S hoping for suggestions

Over the last couple weeks I have noticed that my sound becomes distorted while playing almost any game. The best way I can describe it is like someone is in a party with you and is rubbing something on their mic for about 15 seconds. During the time that this is happening my game will freeze or my controller will disconnect. I have tried wiring the controller and got the same result. This last weekend I was playing overcooked 2 with the family (3 controllers) and I saw the problem even more. Freezing and dropping at least 2 controllers sync for a few seconds.

I have checked for updates and factory reset the Xbox. It almost seems like the xbox is having a hard time dealing with any stress. Anyone have any suggestions?

Concerning the party sound issue, it would be helpful to follow the steps mentioned here => Troubleshoot audio problems in parties on Xbox | Xbox Support. As for the controller issues, we highly recommend following what's mentioned here => Troubleshoot your Xbox Wireless Controller | Xbox Support.

After troubleshooting the party audio problems, and your controller please follow the steps below to kind of refresh your network and system to help with the freezing:

Access Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

Sorry you're having issues with your One S. You are correct in that is not the normal function of the One S. I would suggest taking it back and exchanging it for another one.

Going by the HDR on Xbox One X and Xbox One S support page, HDR is still only a feature available on 4k screens.

I would say it is worth making the suggestion on the Xbox Insiders Reddit
page as this is the place to put forward ideas and suggestions to help improve the Xbox platform.

I appreciate the help. I hope it works for your Series X. I'm open to any suggestions to get this Xbox One S to work. I've had it for years and would like to be able to play online, watch Hulu, Disney+, etc.
