Xbox one s headphone port

My mic jack on my hyperx headset broke of into my mic port on my controller and I can't get it out.

Xbox One S Controller 3.5mm Headphone Jack, No sound whatsoever

So i recently bought an Xbox One S, and for the life of me, I can't get any sound to come out of the One S controller through the headphone jack. I've tried all the settings in audio, devices, the controller itself and the volume controls which show up in
the settings tab when you plug a headset into the controllers headphone jack. I've heard that you can get chat and game sound through it, but I can't even hear myself through the mic monitoring slider or in an Xbox Live party. I bought a chat headset today
and the Xbox picks up on the mic so that works (Also tried with my computer's headphone port and it works), but no sound is outputted through the headphone port, not even with just standard stereo headphones with no mic. Any suggestions?

Xbox One X And Elite controller - no audio via headphone port, but standard controller works

I have an Xbox One X and thought I would try the Dolby Atmos via headphones for late night gaming.

This works well with the standard controller or the Xbox One S controller via the headphone port.

Yet when trying to do the same with the Elite controller, it just won’t work.

Has there been a hardware update that resolves issues with a Apple type headphone connections on these newer controllers OR is my Elite controller faulty?

There is not nothing really you can do about that if you can't get it out. You will need to replace the controller.

Some more questions please.

Does the headphone port carry mic/headphone capability. There is no mic jack port on the Thrustmaster.

Also, I could use it when playing other games with a normal controller to chat as if the mic port is capable.

Secondly, I want a hardwire connection from the XAC to my Xbox one S but the output from the XAC is USBc which I understand is not compatible with USB3/2 - is that correct. I prefer hardwire connections to bluetooth.

You should get a DVI-D to HDMI cable for xbox one and as for the headset you might have your x12's plugged into the headphone port on the tv and speak through kinnect (if you have one) or you can plug into the white and red rca output on the back of your
tv

I have a USB adopter for my headphones.

I used this USB adopter connected to my headphones plugged into my USB port on my Xbox One X.

The USB port does not recognize my device. Another account has replied to your question with this information.

Their is an audio port on the Xbox controllers, this port is designed for input / output audio.

I use a microphone plugged into my headphones, sometimes.

I tried the USB port, no Audio category was displayed on my Dashboard UI on the Profile & system section.

I have heard and agree that USB transfers audio, as a higher quality compared to the microphone / headphones cable-prong.

The Xbox1's optical port has to be turned on in settings. If I remember correctly, I haven't tried because my headphones are connected to TVs optical port, but now that Xbox1 multitasks very well I will use netflix on Xbox1 and connect my soundbar back to
the TVs optical port, and headphones to Xbox1s optical since I only use when gaming. Hope this helps
