    Hi all, I'm in the market to get a xbox to supplement my ps4 and the Xbox one S is very enticing. The 4k blu ray player and hdr alone are enough to warrant the purchase. Anyways I don't believe my TV is hdr compatible. It's a vizio m series 4k tv but I
    don't believe it has the hdr tech. If that's the case then it's not worth spending the extra money on something I can't take advantage of is it? Better off getting a standard $279 bundle wouldn't you guys think?

    Xbox One S dose support HDR, but most HDR games do not support Xbox One S.

    You still get 4K resolution, despite not having the higher dynamic range.

    So basically in my situation a xbox one s gets me a standard xbox one with a built in 4k blu ray player. I just don't get the hdr

    I would get the cheaper standard Xbox One and put the money you save toward the Scorpio coming out at the end of next year, 4k gaming and 4k media in one package.

    Only get the Xbox One S unless you are absolutely desperate to have 4k video content now.

    Erm........................You do realise that any game that runs on the Xbox One X also runs on the Xbox One S? And because of this, any game that is HDR on the Xbox One X is also HDR on the Xbox One S.

    So basically, any game you find that is HDR on the Xbox One X is also HDR on the Xbox One S

    Is that official?

    HDR is an "Xbox One X Enhanced" feature for those games, that's official words.

    For example Rise of the Tomb Raider, NO HDR on Xbox One S.
