  1. Xbox one S HDR Stutter

My 2tb xbox one S randomly stutters during HDR UHD disc playback. It ONLY happens with HDR enabled. If i turn off hdr within my tv, then no stutter. As soon as i renable HDR, all movies will have random framerate stutter. My tv is a Vizio P65-C1, ive tried
multiple HDMI cables including the one supplied with the xbox, it makes no difference if the xbox is connected directly to the tv or through my avr. Ive been trying to troubleshoot this issue for weeks now and am completely fed up. Is anyone else experiencing
    this?

my xbox is set to auto detect, and ive tried it in both 1080p and 4kUHD resolution. The stutter persists in both modes.

    :)

A HDR game list for Xbox One S?

Xbox One S dose support HDR, but most HDR games do not support Xbox One S.

    Xbox one S HDR Stutter

    Hey there RedzUntouchable.

To check, do you happen to have 50hz enabled on your Xbox One? If so, please make sure to disable that and test with it off to see if you're still experiencing the stuttering trouble.

    Thanks for clarifying RedzUntouchable!

Another thing to check on, does your TV have an auto-brightness setting enabled? If so, let's disable that and power cycle your console. There have been reports that disabling that can clear up the stuttering issue that you're experiencing. Let us know how
    it goes.

  6. I am having the exact same problem. With HDR enabled, my 4K UHD version of the Revenant has stuttering and dropped frames. With HDR disabled, it plays flawlessly. Auto brightening is off, I don't have 50hz enabled (it's grayed out). I do have 24Hz enabled.
Disabling 24Hz, with HDR enabled, creates a washed out, almost colorless picture.

Also, I have tried two different brand new 4k UHD Blu-Ray Revenant discs (first one was exchanged at the store). My XBox Blu-Ray player plays standard Blu-Rays flawlessly, with HDR enabled, with no stuttering. So, it's not the player, and it's not the disc.
The problem occurs playing 4K UHD Blu-Rays, with HDR enabled. I also have the latest version of the app, and my Vizio P55-C1 firmware is up to date (it updates automatically).

  7. Also, I can play 4K UHD movies using my TV's VUDU app. They look great, with no setting adjustments needed and no stuttering. I've tried multiple HDMI cables, hard resets, turning off smooth motion, unplugging and reconnecting cables.

I have exactly the same problem with my Vizio P55-C1. This might be a Vizio problem -- I know my TV also doesn't support the way the XB1 Netflix app handles HDR.

4K resolution is nice, but I bought these disks mostly because of HDR. Watching them stutter is seriously disappointing.

  10. No auto brightness enabled, and definitely not a vizio problem. My friend has the same tv and an xbox one s and his doesnt do it. HDR through the tv app works fine, 4k through xbox one S works fine, its only when HDR is enabled that the stutter exists.
