Xbox One S HDR issue

I too am having this issue. I have a brand new XBOX One S, and a brand new Vizio M-Series M65-D0. I went through tech support with Vizio and with MS who, no surprise here, blame each other. My M65 has a built in Chrome Cast (Google Cast) and when I watch
Netflix 4K on the "Cast" input all is well. When watching Netflix or playing games through Xbox with HDR, which I have plugged into HDMI-1 (with color subsampling enabled on HDMI-1) as this is the only port that supports HDR, the issue appears. I have tried
replacing the High Speed HDMI cable that came with the XBO-S as MS suggested, plugged the XBO-S straigh to the wall socket, as MS Suggested, and the issue still persists ONLY with the Xbox. Admittedly, I have not tried another 4k/UHD/HDR source (ie: UHD Blue
Ray player) to see if this issue appears with same.

 

Last I tried, the HDMI color Subsampling still makes my Vizio P-75-C1 still go black. Has anyone tried today's update? Does that have a fix for the HDR issue on Vizio TV's?

 

Funny enough, I have tried to turn off the HDMI Subsampling and the issue still persists. I updated the Xbox last night but have not had the opportunity to play and see if this issue was addressed, either officially or not. The notes for the update to
not specifically mention this issue. I'll try and circle back here in a few days.

 

I own a P75-C1 and have updated everything on the TV (so it has HDR10 support) and the Xbox and they STILL do not work together. All I get is a black screen when I enable sub-sampling (HDR). I was hoping the most recent dashboard update last week would
fix, but nothing. Is there any other news for this issue?

 

Just wanted to bump this thread. I've tried the latest update and the 4K and HDR features are still not working on my Vizio P75-C1. Has anyone heard of any updates?

 

Trying to keep track of all the threads and forums out there about this issue. I've had the same since last October. Vizio P-65 C1 and intermittent black screens when HDR turned on, games and movies. Talked to support for Vizio and Xbox (and Sony for PlayStation
pro) and tried all their "fixes". Truth finally given today by Vizio Rep in email:

"Also, to reiterate, HDR10 is supported on the following units and media at this time:

Samsung UBD-K8500

Xbox One S (HDR UHD Discs, Amazon Video )

Phillips BDP7501 (HDR UHD Discs ONLY)"

So there you have it. No 4K gaming, Netflix, etc. no idea when that will be fixed on both sides. Good luck.

 

Bump. Just got a new 2017 M55-E0 and have been experiencing this problem. Very frustrating and Vizio support chat was not helpful. I am running the most recent firmware on the TV. Anyone heard anything on this?

 

Nope. Still not working and I can't get a reply in 3 months. This is a bummer because I'd love to buy an Xbox One X, but if I can't get the S to work with my new TV, there is no way I am going to buy a new console. It's crazy. My Playstation HDR works
fine with my TV too.

 

My Netflix (in XboneS app) was working fine, then all of a sudden it stopped, now the whole TV just snows out. Amazon 4k HDR works, the Cast Netflix HDR works, but the XboneS Netflix HDR app in breaks my Vizio P65-C1

 

My P65-C1 is arriving towards the end of this week. How is it working out for you with the HDR10? What has Vizio told you or is it working by now.

 

I am having a similar issue with my LG OLED 55C6P 4K HDR TV. Netflix will trigger my HDR on my TV, flicker or snow and then the TV will auto swap picture mode to standard, then HDR and on and on. All other HDR Apps and sources work 100%. It's making me crazy.
I've tried new cables, unplugging everything and rebooting each device involved and hard resets. Uninstalled Netflix and re-install, problem persists. No idea what is going on other than HDCP issues.
