Xbox One S HDR Bug

I wanted to update you all that we've passed this information along to the appropriate teams to investigate. According to JetHaemon's post, it looks like LG has started rolling out updates for their TV's. If you own an LG TV, please check to see if any firmware
updates are available and keep us posted on how it goes!

I can confirm on my LG 49 UH668V that the firmware update(08/09/2016) for my TV appears to have fixed this issue for me. I've only just received the update a few hours ago but I still have HDR mode automatically switch on when starting Netflix but on 3 attempts
it appears to successfully switch off HDR mode when quitting out of Netflix.

The current software version I am running on my TV is 04.30.02

Hopefully this has fixed it for me but I will update if it happens again.

 

Well hopefully I receive an update for my LG because my S says it doesnt even support HDR... But it does :-/

Have you switched on HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour in the GENERAL settings menu on your TV for the HDMI port thats connected to your One S because its set to off by default and until you switch this On the One S won't register the correct settings needed to
display HDR.

 

I own a sony 850C. NEWEST UPDATES for the tv and Xbox. Though the tv is hdr 10 and passed everything in the past. As of the latest update, the tv no longer can handle hdr gaming. This needs to be fixed.

 

I am having a similar issue on my Xbox One S connected directly to my Samsung JS8500 tv. When I open the netflix app the screen becomes very dim and the screen doesn't return to normal until the app is quit. HDR content looks great using the Netflix app
on my TV by the way, not dim at all.

 

I have this issue with a Vizio 2016 P65. This issue happens 100% of the time when Netflix is loaded. The TV is triggered into HDR mode for all Netflix content and for the Xbox Dashboard as well. A force quit of Netflix will bring everything back to normal.

UHD Blu Ray is working fine in HDR.

 

I have the same issue with the Vizio P65-C1. When Netflix loads HDR is not activated, picture and colors are distorted. It happens 100% of the time. HDR works fine with uhd blu ray disc.

 

At least yout tv is recognized as hdr compatible. My Panasonic Viera TX-65X900E is no longer recognized as having hdr support. It worked fine before the last two updates, (am in the preview programme).

I´ve tried swapping hdmi inputs and have tried with 3 different cables all to no avail. Most annoying.

 

Have the same Issue Samsung 4k.

 

To answer the questions. It happens 100% if I've used a 4k app (this includes YouTube for some reason. Happen 100% of the time. Only way to fix it is to physically turn my TV off and Back on again.
