Xbox one S hdmi video porblem

The Xbox One has HDMI out for Video/Audio output ( HDMI input as well ) and an Optical Out for Audio.

S-Video hasn't been around for a few years now since it would be pointless Rather bad even over 12 years ago that I last used one. You might mean component and NOT S-video, which the Xbox One doesn't support either. The good news is that you can just
use a simple HDMI->Component cable which does a fine job converting the output to what you might need

Just Bing "HDMI to Component" and you will see if that is what you need.

The One S only has the singular HDMI port for video out...am not aware of any other way to output video

Well I got this one:

Lenkeng Lkv363A HDMI + 3RCA Composite Video S-Video R/L CVBS Audio AV to HDMI Converter Adapter Upscaler 720/1080P for Analog TV DVD STB at Amazon;

and it successfully converts signal to HDMI @ 720p or 1080p with either composite RCA or S-Video verified to the TV HDMI port.

But when plugged into the Xbox one HDMI input pass through, the signal is detected but I get no picture. Xone successfully talks to the Sat receiver changing channels and successfully talks to the Hitachi TV with volume and menu controls but will not allow
the TV live to come in.

I am, and multiple layers of Xone support, are successfully and carefully stumped on this one.

Any help appreciated.

Hello, the use of the Xbox's audio video dongle should not have interfere with the HDMI video on your Xbox if you are wanting to use it for the audio on your XL1's.

Xbox One has 2 outputs - one HDMI and one Optical Audio (s/pdif). HDMI carries both audio and video. But if you want to send your audio to a receiver that does not have HDMI inputs, then you can use the optical output from Xbox One. PS4 is exactly the
same.

And William is right - if you try converting HDMI to DVI, you will lose the audio on both Xbox and PS4 (unless you are using the separate optical output for audio).
