Xbox one s hdmi problem since outage

My xbox one s had blank screen since the outage so I switched off and on and did a soft reset and now there is an hdmi problem it is stuck on low resolution and will not work if I change from this.

I have swapped hdmi lead and tried on a different tv and it's still the same.

I am just out of Warrenty can this be sent in for a free repair as it was fine before xbox went down.

Hey Steve thanks for keeping us updated on this issue.

We suggest (without sounding repetitive) another reset since we had problems up until about an hour ago and the latest patch is now out and available. So as suggested by fellow XBF Amber M

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Settings.
Select All Settings.
Select System.
Select Console info & updates.
Select Reset console.
Select Reset and keep my games & apps.

**Note: Please be sure to know the log in email address and password to yours/any profile that may be on the console as they will be removed during the reset.

Give it another shot and let us know how it goes!

Hi there

I have completed all new lead ,different tv , soft and hard reset and is still stuck on 640x480 .

So definitely hardware problem. After researching online this is quite common to xbox one s and should be addressed by microsoft that theses consoles are not fit for purpose .

Thanks for replying and keeping us updated. Sorry to hear that your issue is still around after all the troubleshooting so far. If you haven't already, you may wish to try doing a soft

factory reset to your console (this allows you to keep your games/apps installed) to remove any potentially damaged or corrupt files off of the console's OS that could be causing your console to remain in low resolution.

If the issue remains after that, then you'd want to attempt a full factory reset, removing everything, to see if that would allow things to return to normal. You may also wish to try a different HDMI cord, if you haven't already. It is worth a try! Lastly,
if all else fails, you would need to set up a repair for the console, so it would be worth a shot to do a little bit more troubleshooting before that.

If you’re ready to reset your console to the factory default settings, follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Settings.
Select All Settings.
Select System.
Select Console info & updates.
Select Reset console.
Select Reset and keep my games & apps.
