    Dear All,

    i'd like to ask some help.

    I got a Xbox One S. I try to connect a media player to the HDMI "in" port.

    After I switch on the media player, doesn't happend anything (the TV doesn't have any signal).

    Shall I change some settings in the Xbox menu?

    I bougth the machine 3 days ago, so the system is up to date.

    Can Xbox one work through DisplayPort

    Ok, so I was wondering if my Xbox One S would work with DisplayPort. I know it doesn't have a DisplayPort plug-in so I am thinking about buying a DisplayPort to HDMI cable. If I plugged the HDMI part into the Xbox and the DisplayPort part into my monitor,
    will it work or no?

    If it's 3 days old and doesn't work... I'd take it back for an exchange or a refund... but maybe I'm the only person who thinks that way?

    yes, Njal. That is how the xbox one S does work. But i went ahead and swapped the ports anyways, and enabled the enhanced hdmi. XBox one S still works, xbox one X does not.

    The Xbox One X is the only console that has HDMI 2.1. Xbox One S has HDMI 2.0.
    The Xbox One S and One X both use HDMI 2.0,

    The Xbox One uses HDMI 1.4

    The Series X will have HDMI 2.1.

    this works fine, but

    XBOX ONE-------hdmi cable---------> Yamaha amp -------hdmi cable-------> TV
