Xbox one s has suddenly started to behave weirdly!!

Hi,

Over the past week my kids console has become very frustrating, freezing mid game then making a constant buzzing noise for 5 seconds before exiting the game. The game concerned is Fifa19. Since then the console has become really sluggish and freezes a lot.
I have tried most of the reset options and nothing changes. I am reluctant to factory reset to avoid losing all of the kids saved data. I am not the most tech savvy parent so would appreciate jargon free advice

The saved data is in the cloud, so if you did a factory reset then you would be able to retrieve the data by just logging in with his account.

If the problem persists, try doing a
soft factory reset of the console,
Reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

I've never seen this before, so not sure what to suggest.

For the Store: are the Xbox's region/location settings correct? Do they match the region you're actually, physically in?

Has it always behaved this weirdly or is this a new thing?

do you have the xbox plugged into an extension or multi gang socket, if so this can cause the xbox to behave weirdly sometimes and can cause interference through the mains of the house as it is overpowering the extension, should be plugged into a wall socket
of its own for optimum results.

Weirdly, this has stopped. Hadn't checked it in a while so not sure if September update fixed it or what. Will keep an eye it :s
