XBox One S has no power. The loss of power coincided with a brown out (power surge).

Sounds like a surge happenrd

Electronicd don't suddenly pop except during lightning storms.or unseen surge which would.be a bad power source or a brown out or a sudden surge of power

This is usually coveted by your home owners insurance

Same happened to me a while back, but noticed an oven timer had reset so knew it was a brown out/electrical surge. Then read that the power pack had built in surge protection to protect the console, and requires the power to be disconnected for 10 plus seconds
to reset properly.

The Xbox One S has a built in surge protector so you do need an separate one.

This is happening to me too. It can be hard to expect folks to use a wall socket for one piece of equipment nowadays. Supposedly the brick has a surge protector in it but what about power fluxs from electrical noise and brown outs? They told me that this
only matters if your protector has too much stuff in it and its drawing power from the other devices. IDK.
