Xbox One S Has Crashed

(Mod Removed-Personal Information) I am looking for help with my Xbox One S I purchased less than two months ago. Yesterday I attempted to restart my Xbox one s & it wouldn't even turn off the screen just went off
but I pressed the power button. Nothing. Made a noise as if it was turning off but it wasn't. I had to turn it off at the wall then turn it on.

I turned it on today and played f1 2015. I turned it off, watched YouTube and went back on. It froze then it made some weird noises which sounded like dust has gotten in, although it was quiet. It then turned itself on.

What caused it? Should I have been patient and let it turn off by itself yesterday?

Just confirming. You're console is now working again? Was this a one time issue or does it happen repeatedly? I recommend checking out
Microsoft Device Support Site first and see if you can set up some sort of repair or exchange. If you have trouble with that make sure you try
Contacting Xbox Customer Support to see if they can provide you with further options regarding your console. Please give us a little more information to be able to best assist
you.

It crashed and you had to unplug it from the wall and then it crashed again the next day when playing F1?

You've only had it for two months, so you still have a lot of time on the warranty. See what happens over the next week - if it continues to crash then I'd personally start the RMA process.

 

Hey nora we split this thread so we can cater the responses to the problem at hand!

We suggest trying a reset of the console through the troubleshooting screen

If you're unable to get to the dashboard at all to do the factory reset you need to access the Troubleshoot screen by using these steps :

1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.
2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
   
3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
4. Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the
   EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the
   Xbox button on the console.
5. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
   
6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
   BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

From there you can reset your console.
