    Xbox one s won't boot uo

    New Xbox one s console.

    Turn it on and Xbox comes up on green screen then black screen then restarts.

    Help fixing this please.

    My son xbox one s is stuck on a green screen lock. Call Microsoft help desk to everything is still on that screen. What can I do?

    Hi Ken,

    Thanks for your post! To correct this, try performing a soft factory reset, here's how to do so:

    Reset Xbox One to Factory Defaults    . Be sure to keep your Microsoft Account sign-in handy to prevent issues signing back into the account and also be certain to select "Reset and keep my games & apps" to not have to redownload all items to the console.

    I have the same problem. I can't even get to the Xbox menu or start screen to follow the instructions to reset to factory settings. after about 4 minutes on the green Xbox screen, the Xbox light stays on but it switches the TV off.

    Youll want to perform a full power cycle on youre xbox and reboot it, this should resolve the issue.

    Microsoft haven't said it is. I believe the green Xbox One startup screen will stay, and the Xbox Series X/S will get the new Xbox boot up screen.
