    Xbox One S goes to black screen on HDMI


    I have tried to fix this problem from the troubleshooting tips on the console and none of it is working. When I installed Forza Horizon 4 again today, it played just fine, but after switching games and putting it back in, it would no longer get past the
    loading screen. I made sure all of the settings were correct and restarted the console, that didn't work either, so I made sure the cords were plugged in completly and they are.

    I have tried this 5 times so far and finally decided to check the HDMI plug in (TV keeps going back to when it is waiting for a device to be turned on, I have a Vizo Smart TV) to see what was happening. I tried to play the game while in the HDMI inputs selection
    screen, and found out that the HDMI would no longer be connected to the Xbox One S (Both the TV and console stay on, but the HDMI will not read the connection) even when I restarted the console.

    (I do not think this is a console problem or TV problem, as the cord connected and read the console up until the start of summer this year, and every other game works on the console, I have checked, but I would like to make sure this problem is only the
    HDMI cord as I think it is. Has anyone else ever had this problem before?)

    You talk about going black but have flickering on Topic.

    There was an official Problem with HDR Flickering on that TVs and Xbox but that should be fixed a time ago
    The screen flickers when HDR or HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour is on in the TV, after a while of flickering it goes black, then the TV loses the signal from the Xbox. That's
    my problem.

    If I deactivate HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour, then there's no more flickering and no more black screen.

    Well it isn't fixed yet, I'm 100% sure I am on the latest firmware on both the LG C9 and the Xbox One X.

    Ah cheers. When I turn on HDMI UHD Color. The screen goes black. So not sure if that the Xbox does not like it or if it is a tv thing

    Hi I'm a little late to this. I have a newer Samsung SUHD 65in 4k TV that I just purchased last year. I have this same issue with my Xbox One S. When I put my xbox one S into 4k settings my tv goes black every so often as well. I have noticed if i unplug
    the hdmi cable and plug it back in. The screen will sometimes rapidly flash to black over and over every 2 seconds. I then restarted my xbox one s and it went away. However my tv still flashes to black on 4k settings but currently it does it every 30 mins
    or so, very annoying. So it is not a tv issue it seems like its an Xbox one s communication issue with the tv.

    So is there any xbox updates on this?

    Sorry to hear about the flickering you're having with your Xbox One, to start things off are you connecting your Xbox One directly to your TV, or is there a receiver in between? Can you also share the make and model of your television? Thanks!
