    Xbox one S gives error code 0x8007045d and it keeps diconnecting external hard drive


    Hard drives disconnects and then reconnects every 5 seconds error code 0x8007045d when ever I try to play a game.

    This a gears of war S edition, that was working good. Tried drive on a original Xbox one and it works great.

    Has anyone else had this problem?

    Wrong error code

    I just set up a new external hard drive on my Xbox one and when I started installing a game it gave me the error code 0x8007045d which is for an Xbox 360. What do I do.

    “Installation Stopped” Error With External Hard Drive

    I still use a 2016, Xbox one, not X, or series X, I know, definitely need an upgrade. I have no issues formatting the hard drive, everything goes smoothly until install, error code received is 0x8007045d and I do not use any other externals, only things in my USB ports are my a40 mixamp headsets, and a keyboard, I also tried swapping ports, keyboard is the front port, as it’s wireless, a40 headset is port 1 in the back and port 2 is the external hard drive housing. Appreciate you looking into this, look forward to a reply!

    This was the suggestion for your error code on the error code list:

    A storage device (such as a memory unit or hard drive) was not found during the software update. Follow these steps:

    Turn off your console.

    Remove all console storage devices, including any USB flash drives, external hard drives or the internal hard drive on the Xbox 360 E console or Xbox 360 S console. Learn how to remove the hard drive.

    Add your primary storage device, for example, the hard drive.

    Turn on the console

    Try updating the console again.

    external hard drive is working but on Xbox its give me error

    when I download the game to the external hard drive I get error code: 0x80070003.

    There are no error codes when it says installation stopped. The hard drive meets the criteria to be used as an external hard drice. I have not usd the hard drive on any other consoles as I only have 1 xbox one.
