    Xbox One S Geographic Zone problem


    From last three days, if I try to play a xcloud game on my Xbox One S, when I select "Play" on home page of the game selected, after two seconds a message appears on the screen informing me about my geographic area problem. I live in Italy and from the first day I downloaded the new Xbox Insider version, xcloud worked perfectly. I checked everything but didn't fix the problem .

    Last important thing: also the PC app version XBOX it does not work with the xcloud service, but if I use the browser, it works perfectly .

    So I don't think it depends on my wifi network, but on something related to the software itself.

    region change unavailable

    Setting your store region to any geographic zone you are not physically in is a violation of TOS and can lead to account and hardware bans.

    There are dozens of articles but only ONE source for how the Xbox One will work outside of supported countries:

    "Xbox One games are for activation and distribution only in specified geographic regions. See game package and/or retailer product information, for each game’s specific geographic regions."

    Microsoft is leaving it up to the publishers of the games. NO different than what it does now with the Xbox 360.

    Live Streaming, a bad idea?

    ping comes into it aswell though, it's great having a 700mb/s upload, if your ping is 200ms it's not fit for gaming

    So you would still need to be in good geographical proximity.
