Xbox One S games not loading or reinstalling

Hi there,

My little boy has an Xbox One S and up until a couple of weeks ago has never had any issues. For some reason he now can’t upload numerous various games (some downloaded and others disks) and an error code is displayed. I’ve followed all of the suggested fixes; powering off and restarting the console; quitting the app; check Xbox live; checking data storage. I’ve since tried to uninstall and reinstall the app - fortnite - it starts to install and then I get a message to say ‘installation stopped’ with an error code - 0xd05e010b. I can’t find anything I haven’t already tried to fix these errors and I’m now at a loss as to what to do.

Has anyone else come across this before?

Edit: Also have tried to get a call back from Microsoft but never get a call, are there any other contact options I can try?

Thanks Ricardo,

I’ve tried what you suggested and various other solutions I’ve found in different articles - remove profile and fortnite still won’t load. It’s still saying installation stopped.

The call back option for Microsoft support is now unavailable and I can’t find an option for web chat.

I really don’t know what else I can try.

I contacted Epic Games who were super helpful and tried a couple of things for me, but they’ve said it’s a console issue therefore I need to contact Microsoft.

Any help out there would be appreciated

Please uninstal the Game and try to restore keeping games and apps, please be sure that you know your account email and password:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console screen, you'll see three option use this one, be sure you remember the email and password of you're accounts:

Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. In some cases, if a corrupt game file is causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with Reset and keep my games & apps

Flight sim 2021 is only series and pc compatible

Xbox one s would choke just loading the loading screen.

Why in heaven's name would you think 10 year old hardware run a game that makes 3-5 year old pcs have trouble runnung

Just a fyi the s/x means the series x and s not xbox one

The xbox one games all work on the xbox one regardless of letter

Not to mention all xbox one games are compatible with xbox one games there is no s or x designation for requirements on xbox one

have you tried reinstalling everything?

Yea. I tried doing so on my Xbox One and trying it on a another Xbox One S at my Uncle's house. But it doesn't work with all 12 additional episodes. It can load with 3 of the additional episodes installed.

I have a SSD in my Xbox One S currently. Would the upgrade to Xbox One X still make games load faster?
