Xbox One S games failing to launch.

Four of my games (Fallout 4, The Wolf Among Us, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Battlefield 4) are failing to launch on my Xbox One S. They work on my original Xbox One.

They each crash different ways as well. RotTR gives me a black screen then returns to the menu. Fallout 4 sits on the pre-menu loading screen for a while before silently crashing to the menu. BF4 Actually gives me an error saying the game took too long to
start. And Wolf Among Us actually crashes the entire system.

I've tried running these games on both internal and External drives. I've reinstalled them. I've copied them from the old Xbox. I've erased the saves, cleared caches, even removed my account from the Xbox and re-added it. I'm out of ideas at this point.

It should be noted that I am in the Preview program but both Xboxes are on the same update.

I believe Fallout 4 worked before the Aug 2nd update but I'm not sure.

since the games have problems running from both the internal and the external storage devices I would suggest that the issue is coming from elsewhere.

Contacting the manufacturer's support should give you the most info about this issue as you are in the preview program and not many people are able to help here.

Do post the solution if you find something or if you have more additional info about this.

Hey saber! I have 2 solutions for you to try.

1- try doing a hard reset by holding the power button on the front of the console until it turns off then unplug it from the outlet for a minute then plug back in and power back on. If that doesn't work try solution 2.

2- go to settings, console and updates and select reset console. Choose to keep everything and your console will restart. After it restarts you will go through a quick set and have to sign back in again. Hopefully solution will resolve the issue. Please
try the solutions in order though.

 

Maximum could this help if I am having issues with my profiles logging in properly?

I started playing halo again this week and since then I have been experiencing issues with my profile logging in. I will finally get in then it will not sync with halo and it is a long battle before I can finally get in a game.

I experience this symptom once before and I believe all I had to do was remove my profile and add it back I just wasn't sure.

Sorry guys, didn't get notified of any of these replies. The Xbox support people had me do a console restore/reset and everything worked fine after that.
