Xbox One S game crashes and errors

I've had an Xbox One S 500GB console for about a year or 2 now. I bought it refurbished from Gamestop. Ever since I got it I've had nothing but constant game crashes with disc games. It never really bothered me much until recently, games are constantly
crashing. I really only notice it with disc games, my digital games work fine. Black Ops 3 crashes all of the time. I recently got Destiny 2, installed it and downloaded the updates for it and keep getting an error saying "Problem reading game content". I
was forced to uninstall it and when I tried to, it didn't completely delete off my console, I put the disc back in and it acted as if it was never installed although the app disappeared off of my games list. This caused me to have to completely reset my Xbox
through Settings>System>Console Info. After then I was finally able to download and play Destiny 2 with no problem. After a week, in the middle of playing it, the error pops up again and says "Problem reading game content. Please uninstall and re-install the
game." It also says in game "Cannot verify game content" Both Black Ops 3 and Destiny 2 are disc games and spotless as well, no scratches, no smudges, they look brand new so there's not an issue there. Why does it crash so often? It has to be some sort of
hardware issue because my friend has the same exact Xbox One S except it's 1TB and within months of us playing he has never had a game crash once, as to where my games crash once or twice a day. I thought maybe my internal HDD is messed up, but the game crashes
only seem to really occur with disc games. I don't think the disc drive is messed up because it reads them just fine. It's not normal for my games to not function right.

Several bugs, errors in dlc, slowness in downloads and crashes. It is crap!!

 

Xbox One instability

I haven't had a crash, outside of Siege (and it's been broken as fuck) in months. Most of the game crashes are just that, the game, not the console. If the software runs into an error in it's cycle it'll crash.

 

This sounds like an issue with only BO3 and Destiny 2, as those are the only two games that seem to be giving you trouble.

To fully uninstall a game, you want to select "Uninstall All" when managing the game. Follow the exact steps here to
uninstall a game completely. When reinstalling, I first suggest disconnecting your Xbox from the internet,
and install the base game files from the disc.

I am not sure how you connect the Xbox to the internet, but after the disc installs are finished, you should get an ethernet cord and wire the Xbox directly to your router to download the updates for BO3 and Destiny 2. Sometimes when downloading anything
over Wi-Fi, bad reception or other wireless interference can corrupt a file download, and therefore cause the game to malfunction.

I'm sorry to hear that that's happening.

It does sound to me like it could be a hardware issue since you already factory reset everything and it still gives you problems. That reset should clear out any software issues.

If I were you I'd either get it exchanged where you bought it, or you can try to create a repair order for it here on the

Device Support site.

You can also try to
contact us and see if any agent can help you create a repair order as well.
