Xbox One S freezing, crashing and rebooting issues

My Xbox One S console, which is due to be 2 years old in December, has been suffering on and off for a few months with freezing, crashing and rebooting issues. This first started to happen during gameplay on
Forza Horizon where the game would freeze, whatever sound was playing at the time of the crash would stutter for 5-10 seconds, and then I would be booted back to the dashboard, having to start my game again rather than resuming.

I have since started to have this problem with Forza Horizon 2, Alice: Madness Returns,
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, and the YouTube and
Twitch apps. The background sound will play for 5-10 seconds on a black screen, and my console will shut itself off. The controller light will also stay on despite the console being off.

I have tried a factory reset and a cache clear to no avail, and I have also completely uninstalled everything (games and apps) to clear up space to see if the problem persists, but with 1 game or 17 games installed, I still have the same issue.

This has been happening very frequently over the past fortnight, but has been going on since the beginning of the year when I was originally playing through Forza Horizon. Two of my friends have also said they've had the same problem also.

Can anybody point me in the right direction? In not even 2 years, I have had more game-breaking issues with the
Xbox One S than I ever had with the 60GB Xbox 360 which I have owned for coming on 10 years. I really don't want to have to fork out a tonne to upgrade to an
Xbox One X when the Xbox One S, with it's hardware capabilities, should not be suffering with issues that the
360 did not.

So after a few weeks since getting a replacement xbox off MS I have had a few issues with it crashing/ freezing. Anyone out there ever had this issue?

RB Store Crashes 360

A while ago the RB store was offline, or not synched or something. At that time my 360 would crash if I scrolled through the available songs.

I thought it was due to the issues at the time, but it still does it.

Everytime I use the store I scroll through the tracks and the 360 freezes. Hard reboot only way to resolve.

Anyone else had this? Or heard of this?

Nothing else causes 360 hangs.

 

I think it's time to probably get in touch with hardware support.

Hello BenBrown94 thanks for bringing this to our attention as a last resort you can try an offline
update and if that doesn't work than yes as suggested before sounds like you will need a repair which can be done at device support or can contact
us to do the repair.
