Xbox one S fan weird chirping noise?

Hello all lately I have been having this weird chirping noise coming from my xbox one fan. Thing is during the morning I don't hear it, in the after noon I don't hear it but then at nighttime I hear this chirping sound coming from the xbox ones fan. After
more investigation while browsing online I found out that this chirping noise from the xbox fan is a common issue.

Only thing is no idea if I should worry about it or what? I have read a lot of people sent theres in & have litterally read people had this issue but it went away eventually. So I am wondering what to do. I bought the xbox one S refurbished/used a year ago.
So it's been 1 year since I bought it & probably definetly not covered under warranty anymore. Thing is I would send it in for repairs but no idea how much that would cost & not in a financial postion to be paying a lot of money to be sending it in so wondering
if others have had this issue before.

Like do I really need to send it in or can I just ignore it what's the consensus here with this issue?

Edit: Also if wondering the xbox one sits out in the open on a stand. So it's pretty well ventilated, also have confirmed it's not the hard drive & have even put my ear up as close as I could to tell where the chirping sound is coming from & it's from the
fan area. Also I am not seeing any game lag or anything at all. The xbox one is still putting out air from the fan & all that. Except this chirping noise is a bit worrying. Also no it's not a cricket if I turn the xbox one off it stops and the chirping sounds

I recently had another gamer with the same problem on forums and it was resolved by them

unplugging their Xbox from an outlet power strip and plugging their Xbox directly into the wall socket.

Try that and let us know if it helps!

At night time is silence and all noises amplify. It's normal to hear the fan noise from the console, as all hardware after a while are supposed to make some noise. Unless your console starts turning off from the heat I will not worry much about it.

I have an external harddrive on mine, have had it on there for years and it just start doing it yesterday, could it be the harddrive?

Oh OK I would try that but thing is it would take rearranging the whole room. There is a powerplug in the location of the xbox but the construction people did a terrible job that you can't put a plug into the top outlet you can only use the bottom outlet
which is what the power strip is for it's for both the tv & xbox. Also it's a really old power strip truthfully. So that could be the issue truthfully but have no idea.

Also haven't had the issue in like a week though I recently redownloaded skyrim special edition as soon as I loaded up skyrim special edition the xbox started chirping. As soon as I turned the game off & played something else the chirping stopped. The chirping
didn't start till I played metal gear survive.

All the games I currently have installed now do not chirp only 2 games is metal gear survive & now apparently skyrim special edition. Now idea how games would make the xbox start chirping/squaking but OK. Also all my games are digital/on demand only. So
you would think if it was the hard drive every game would be making the xbox chirp. If it was hardware would be seeing performance issues but narrowed it down to it only happens on certain games which where metal gear survive & skyrim special edition (only
2 games I have found that cause the xbox to start chirping/squeaking.

So leaves me to believe it's either the power or fan chirping/squeaking but when listening to it more from last night I think it's the power area because the squaking/chirping isn't coming from the fan when listening to it. It sounds like it's coming from
the very back of the xbox one S. So I would assume it would have to be the power like you said because that's the only thing that's behind the fan. So I would like to try your suggestion but no idea how to.

Since the TV is on top of my dresser, & the xbox one is sitting on a table/night stand & the nearest power plug is well messed up because you can't plug anything into the top outlet.

Edit: also sorry for the late reply. I didn't look back at this thread until I heard the chirping last night when I re downloaded skyrim. Also the xbox has been plugged into a power strip for like a year and a half now. Either the xbox doesn't like it anymore
or the power strip is wearing out?
