Xbox One S Fan Not Running In Instant On?

Hey everyone

I recently joined the Xbox family and got rid of my Sony stuff hehe but i do have a question tho because i keep hearing diff things anyway

My console been working just fine but i noticed that when i use the instant on mode and turn the Xbox off i can hear a very feint small noise which is normal and comes from the powerbrick BUT the big console fan it self is not spinning at all??? I saq a
post about a guy saying that the big fan soposed to spin slowly in instant on mode well mine doesnt spin at all i can only hear the HDD and powerbrick feint noise when i turn it back on the fan turns on so not sure if this is normal?

Its not hot or anything either it just seems like its off with a very feint noise even tho its on standby and main fan doesnt spin in this mode i hope its normal sorry for long post..

Xbox One X in instant on mode has fan running

Hello,

when my xbox one x is shutdown, using instant on mode, the fan stays running. Eventually it may turn off. The xbox is well ventilated, so I don’t think that’s the issue.

I usually use full shutdown mode, but last night I left it in instant on mode as it was downloading games. At 11:30am the fan was still running. I checked and nothing was downloading.

Any advise welcome.

thanks. Yes, I already have turn off storage checked.

It’s more annoying than anything.

maybe I’ll just leave it in full shutdown mode.

 

it does spin if it needs to. if the console is already cool your fan will not run at all unless the console is turned on.

also, don't worry my lince if it has issues the console will overheat and will burn all your house but if it does not turn on unexpectedly you don't have anything to worry about
