Xbox one s fan noise

Just bought Xbox one s 1 tb From the moment I fired it up the fan makes loud ticking noise nonstop. Is this normal?

My new Xbox s fan is making a weird noise. Xbox is not messing but fan is making noises. Any comment?

That doesn't sound normal, it sounds like the console may have been damaged internally during transit to the retailer. Sorry for the inconvenience with this, but we'd suggest exchanging the console with the retailer to resolve this issue.

My second Xbox one s and the noise is doing my head in it's a loud fan and buzzing is this just me or is this meant to be making this noise

Ok I moved it and it has not shut off sense but the Xbox One X Fan noise is not constant and is still loud maybe not as loud as a jet engine like I describe before but still loud way louder than my Xbox One S and OG Xbox One, it would have a fan burst
when I'm playing which is loud and annoying and the fan noise would never be at a constant noise level while I'm playing a game.

you won't get a funcional xbox one s.... i've sent the xbox one s to repair center for 7 times and they send me the same or worse xbox one s fan noise u.u

Do you keep your Xbox One S in a well ventilated area? The loud whirring noise is the fan, which may have dust or not be getting enough air.

I checked the resolution. It was set to UHD. If the series S can’t push that resolution why is it an option.

re: the fan, the grill is hot but there is no fan noise or noticeable airflow. For reference when my laptop fan turns on I can hear it and feel it. For this Xbox, there is nothing. I can put my ear right up to it. No fan noise at all. I do t have a reference as I have never used a different Xbox s but I am also thinking the fan is not functional. For those that have an Xbox s - can you hear the fan when it’s functioning normally?
