  1. Xbox One S Ethernet Connectivity Issues

For the past few months I've had intermittent issues with my Xbox One S connecting to Xbox Live when connected via ethernet cable (obviously the connection is working perfectly fine). In fact, in settings the Xbox actually states that the connection is working
fine but when I try to connect to the store or any other app it states that the Xbox needs to be connected to the internet.

Wireless works perfectly fine, have done multiple hard resets and whatnot. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

    :)

Xbox One S WiFi Networking Connectivity Issues

I've had the same WiFi problems and have rubber banding on Overwatch which is driving me nuts. The router is right next door in another room and my speeds and latency where the console is located are very fast (100mbps download/15mbps upload). The only
way I've been able to resolve this is to hard wire the console with an ethernet cable. Since I can't string a cable across the two rooms I ended up buying a power line ethernet plug. Sadly I get lower download/upload rates (50mbps/7mbps) but I've not had
a single connectivity issue in a week. Extremely frustrating as I traded in my day one console for the S to fix the connectivity issues with the controllers, which also use wi-fi. You can do a google search on "xbox one controller disconnects" as it also
    happens on the S too.

Sounds like the Xbox team dropped the ball on the connectivity aspect, and there is no way I'm getting a day one Xbox one X. Based on the history of RROD and plethora of connectivity issues.

  3. youtube app bug?

My xbox one is hard wired via an ethernet cable and I'm still having the same issues , my 360 though runs the youtube app flawlessly so I don't think it's my connection.

Perform a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

    Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Xbox one s network connection issues

The only thing that worked for me was buying an ethernet cable and establishing a wired connection to the Xbox S. This is a common issue with the Xbox S as far as I can tell. Most any category ethernet cable should work. The higher the category, the faster
    the connection.

    Xbox Updates

When you first get your Xbox One S, there might be an issue with Updating it Wirelessly. It will say "Update has Failed, Please Check your connection and try Again." if that Message pops up, all you have to do is Turn off the Console, Connect an
Ethernet Cable to the xbox and your Router, then restart the process for updating your new Console and it will start without any issues. there are sometimes Wireless Connection issues that will interfere with the Updating process, It's better just to connect
    the Ethernet cable First hand.
Found an ethernet cable and hooked up an entire other tv so it could reach the router reset and retried with ethernet and still not working

Internettcable dont work on my new Xbox one s but works fine without it??

    Hello!

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having issues using your Xbox One S with an ethernet cable connection. Have you tried using a different Ethernet cable to try the wired connection. You may also want
to try plugging in your wired connection into a different port on the router or modem itself. Give it a try and let us know how it goes with a reply.
