Xbox One S Down But Not Out. No apparent fix.

Last week my Xbox One S froze up and stopped working, during a game of Rainbow 6.

Ever since, my xbox has either failed to turn on properly (shutting down after a short while with no video output) or it runs for a maximum of 60mins (it really can be anywhere between 0-60mins) before freezing and shutting down.

Ive unplugged it from the power supply, swapped from extension cord to mains outlet, given more ventilation and cleaned it of as much dust as possible and nothing. Ive also factory reset it.

If it were to overheat i'd expect an error message and a hot console, ive got neither of those.

If it were a power issue would the console not just shut off itself, or not turn on at all? In my case, im usually the one turning it off after crashing and it always turns on to do something.

One observation ive made is that before it crashes it is slow/fails to load any media, such as in game icons etc.

Im looking for anyone whos experienced this issue, and if they could get around it? Is there anything i can do myself to resolve this?

Im only asking as there seems to be no mention of it online and most forums are marked as 'resolved' without any resolution.

This console is out of warranty, just under two years old and I will not be paying for repairs. My brother can dissassemble and replace parts if anyone has any suggestions.

Hmm it may be the power supply, possibly.

Yikes. Dont worry about it. You, as a moderator, are simply enforcing the rules and I thank you for letting me know them, as i did not already, Microsoft should know that I'm out and the following is addressed to the company and not you.

Neither myself or family will be buying into your next generation of consoles. We will most likely attempt to fix
MY console and use the rest until they break, which doesnt seem to be a long wait. In that time i doubt we'll purchase anything from you or your stores. Its an insignificant loss for such a company but I'm done. Clearly, this is not a place
for free discussion and somehow you feel that you have a right to control what i do to my own console, to repair your faults. My overall experience over the past two years, both with the console and service, was vastly inferior to when i got the PS4. Sorry

(Clearly, this is not intended to upset Microsoft, why would it? The loss is small and we are few. But if others have the same issue they will have to change something, if not, then it simply wasnt meant to be. 💔)

Sorry to hear you are running into these problems with your console, If you have already gone over to the support page and followed troubleshooting provided through the pages then our only other option would be to request a repair to
help you resolve the issue.
