Xbox One S Dolby Atmos Support

Sorry if this has been asked before, does anyone know when the update is coming for Xbox One S and Dolby Atmos support?

Dolby Atmos all the time why?

Xbox One S plays all materials in Dolby Atmos. Most material does not support this. Dolby Atmos is unusable. We all have to go back to Dolby Digital. Sad Times for Xbox. This has been broke and reported since April.

 

Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision

Hi Everyone!

Mass Effect Andromeda was announced as the first game to support Dolby Vision, and one of currently a few that support Dolby Atmos.

The XBOX One and One S are getting support for Dolby Atmos with the latest "Creation" Firmware Upgrade, and Dolby has made Dolby Vision available as a "Software-Only" package, so it could also be implemented my MS.

Are there any plans to support one or both of these technologies in "Andromeda" for the XBOX ONE and ONE S?

I'm not a preview program member, I did try to work out how to get it but it didn't seem that clear??

My username is if you're able to send an invite for it?

 

How do you become a preview program member?

 

Can someone add me to the preview program pls?

 

Is there any update on when this will be released to normal and not preview members ?

 

I haven't heard anything yet and I have been asking a lot too.

how to you become a program member? how I can do it?

 

I am on Insider Preview 4 and the passthrough feature is enabled but only for the Bluray Player and not for .mkv played from Plex as exemple.

When i play Bluray disk with Dolby True HD, i see on my AV receiver Dolby True HD.

If i play the same ripped Blueray, i only see PCM (7.1 uncompressed option)

I hope that MS will update soon because i have bought Xbox specialy for the media center.

Are you able to invite others to the preview or how do you get an invite? Message me if you would prefer. It's only really for 4K Blurays that I'm after it for initially for Dolby Atmos.

Hi guys i have just bought a dolby atmos sound bar but now the 4k blu ray says no hdr device.

The picture is much worse as minus hdr but the sound is very decent.

My set up is

tv 55 sony xe90

xbox one S

sony ht xf9000 dolby atmos virtual surround bar and sub woofer

+ 4k blu ray.

all cables 2.0 hdmi.

Any ideas why now it wont play 4k blu ray in HDR?
