Xbox one s does not recognize compatible accessories

My Xbox one s has never recognized anything other than Xbox controllers. Yet it says at the top of the screen "If your compatible accessory isn't showing up here, be sure it's powered up and connected." So what now. I've hooked up a 3 different thrustmaster wheels, a hotas 1, and a g923, all of which are supposedly supported but none of them are recognized. The hotas functions but no wheel that I've used functions very well at all. Every time I try to use a wheel they behave differently. The force feedback is all over the place. It never works like it's suppose to. One race the ffb is way too strong, the next way too weak, sometimes the steering will develop a gigantic dead spot mid-race, and sometimes a Logitech is recognized as a thrustmaster. The list goes on and on. I've spent hours upon hours trying to find a solution. I've only found one and it doesn't work; turn everything off, unplug everything, plug everything back in, plug it into the console, and turn the console back on. Nothing. It seems to me these accessories are only halfway compatible. Unfortunately, half functionality and half random behaviour doesn't cut it. Can someone help me sort this out? Is my console just bugged out or what?

Probably would be better to contact the manufacturer of the device for further information, but if you feel the problem it's the console you could try on a different console to corroborate, or Try to restore keeping games and apps, please be sure that you know your account email and password:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console screen, you'll see three option use this one, be sure you remember the email and password of you're accounts:

Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. In some cases, if a corrupt game file is causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with Reset and keep my games & apps

Not sure where you've seen that, the site does mention it will be compatible with all Xbox One accessories. It should work the same as any of the Ones, meaning it won't be backwards compatible with 360 accessories.
