Hello, try this to solve your issue. Try doing a hard reset for the xbox, maybe its just having a little glitch error in the system. Hold down the power button for 10sec and then turn the xbox on again. Xbox logo should appear when its turned on, and then
try playing the game again to see if it works. Also this may seem weird but ive seen this done, if you tilt your xbox up on an angle and then put in the disk after the game pops up it should work. The mechanics inside of the xbox could be a little faulty for
that reason too. Try it and let us know how it works. But try the first step first. In addition what zdubleu said too.

I just ressetted my xbox and chose the keep games and apps button and it worked.

The disk drive One S has been around for a few years, the diskless One S was launched earlier this year to give the option of not having to pay extra for a drive if all your games is digital.

I have not seen many of these at my local retailers though.

If it is a disk game and you are trying to transfer to an xbox one s digital or the xbox series s then no you are waisting your time

Those are digital only consoles and disks installs require the bluesy or dvd to validate the install

Digitally purchased game's can be transfered to save time yes

If it's to an xbox one x or regular xbox one s or xbox series x disk and digital will work with them
