    Xbox One S Disc Tray Not Opening


    Hello all,

    I bought a brand new Xbox One S for myself just a little over a week ago. Everything seemed to work perfectly, I had no issues so far.

    Unfortunately, yesterday I’ve been having problems.

    I bought two brand new games for the system.

    When I first turned on my Xbox, I ejected the one disc that was in there. Now, it won’t open at all.

    I took out the game that was on the disc tray, then shut it, (I didn’t want to mess it up), and now it won’t open!!

    I’ve tried a manual ejection, even though there is no disc!

    I have also tried resetting the console several times but nothing works.

    So, if anyone knows how to get a disc tray unstuck, even though there is no disc in there, please help me out! It would be greatly appreciated!!

    Disc tray.

    The xbox one (s) doesn't have a disc tray and it was never meant to be opened.

    If you are referring to the 360 then that does have a tray that can open then it makes sense.

    If I had to guess, I would say both of your 360's need to be fixed. I have had disc tray problems with 3 separate xbox 360's, each one was a disc tray issue similar to what you describe. Some games took a long time to work, others didn't want to work at
    all, sometimes I would have to open and close my disc tray dozens of times to get a game to work.

    The reason it doesn't work is because something is broken inside of your disc tray, or something that deals with your disc tray functionality.

    Like I said, this is just a guess.

    the disc tray opens normally, but during I play the xbox return to dashborad itself and you see the words "opening in progress", that pretends to open the disc tray, but is not so.
