Xbox one s disc drive

I recently got a new Xbox one S and I was able to download disc games fine and today when I took a disc out the console the console made a sound as if I was inserting a disk and it was loading basically nothing in the disk drive wouldn’t let me put a
disc in for a couple seconds and then I was able to insert a disc game and download it and play it. Did that happen because of how i took the disc out? Or is it early signs of disc drive failure?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, When you say "is it because of how i took the disc out?" How exactly did you remove it? If you are simply clicking the Eject disc and removing the disc once it has been ejected then there should have been no
harm done. Also, after this incident has there been any other issues with the disc drive?

If you continue to run into these issues I would suggest attempting to Power Cycleyour Xbox one Console. Just go through the article "How to restart
or power cycle your Xbox One console" it'll walk you through specific power cycle steps. This should fix any minor Console issues.

If it keeps happening, you may need to go through the repair process.

 

Mine does it every now and then if I don't get the disc out fast enough. I think it just thinks I'm trying to load a new disc and starts trying to grab it. Haven't had any other issues though.

 

Happened to me once, I followed the
power cycle instructions and never happened again. I think it happened because as I have my Xbox on vertical I didn't realize I inserted the disc upside down.

 

Hmm i took it out as soon as it i pressed the eject button. But if i was able to download a disc game after obviously the disc drive is fine... right?

 

Yup. I'd just keep an eye on it.
