Xbox one s day one Random Beep followed by a low click. EVERYDAY!

I have a Xbox One S day one release and everyday at least once usually a few times a day it will beep once and its followed by a much lower click. I am a PC/Networking tech, it has been happening for a while now but it took me a while to figure out
what it was. All my TV related hardware is all in the same spot and it is completely random. I have confirmed it is certainly my Xbox One S.

I contact support on twitter and there answer was get us a video so we can understand. OK well that's near impossible I would need to setup a camera to run 24/7 because it is totally random and there is no way I can "make it happen". Even if I could
I can't see what it would accomplish what I described is exactly what happens, 100% random single beep followed by a much softer click. Nothing seems to happen to the Xbox, but unless you designed it to randomly beep and click there is an obvious issue.

My warranty is coming up and I would like the issue to be dealt with before that. Answers and information would be nice since the only I have been told from Xbox support is make a video of a completely random event that gives no warning before it happens.

    :)

  2. Why did my Xbox One S beep and click

i bought the Gears LE One S about 3 weeks ago. Same problem... A second long beep instantly followed by a click. Sometimes it beeps without the click but it makes me very uncomfortable every time. This is so odd.

    Random Beep

I have no external hard drive.

My Xbox one s will randomly beep it can happen when playing a game or when in standby mode.

    Its Completely random.

It's like a PC beep if you get what I mean like Some PCs beep when you turn them on.

Doesn't seem to affect the console but it annoys me.

    Monitor keeps going black

One thing you could try is putting the console into low res mode and see if it happens then. You can do this by doing the following, starting with the console powered fully off.

Press and hold the Power button and the pair button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You'll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go until you hear the second beep or see the console start-up in low resolution mode (the Xbox start-up screen will appear slightly pixelated).

    Xbox One No Signal HDMI1

Hello Renita02! I'm Claus, an Independent Microsoft Community Consultant for Xbox! Glad to be able to help you!

Making sure that your TV has the correct Source selected (the same HDMI input on your TV that the Xbox One is connected to), and also that the HDMI cable is connected to the HDMI Out port on the back of the Xbox One, follow these steps:

    1. If there's a disc in the Xbox console, eject it (only applies to Xbox One (S and X) and Series X).

    2. On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds to turn off the console.

    3. Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject* button (check the note below if your console doesn't have the Eject button) until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later.

The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go from Power and Eject* ( or Pair, depending on your console) until the second beep occurs.

*Note: If you have an Xbox One S All-Digital Edition or Xbox Series S, you’ll need to press and hold the Xbox button and the Pair button instead, as your console does not have an Eject button.

    4. This will boot your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset this setting, press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select Profile & system, then Settings.

You should be able to start your Xbox One in low resolution doing this.

xbox series S shows unsupported mode after I changed the resolution

Just to confirm, are you trying to do the steps below in sequence?

If there's a disc in the console, eject it.

On the console, press and hold the Power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds to turn off the console.

Press and hold the Power button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go until you hear the second beep or see the console start up in low resolution mode (the Xbox startup screen will appear slightly pixelated).

Note If you have an Xbox Series S or Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, press and hold the Xbox button  and the Pair button  instead, as your console doesn’t have an Eject button.

In either case, this will start up your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480).
