    Ever since downloading the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare onto my 1TB xbox one s console it cuts out.

    The console itself is no older than 3 months.

    Its not over heating as the fan is running and the console is cool. Its kept stored in an open well ventilated area as well.

    its not the power supply as i have changed cables to check this issue. Also using different sockets around the house.

    does anyone have any idea why this may be?

    i would just like to add the level support i have received from microsoft/xbox has been appalling. Its been extremely hard to speak to anyone about this issue and i have had no response to DM’s on twitter, Emails and cant get through to anyone by phone!

    i wonder if sony treat customers like this. Seems i have made the wrong choice in buying the xbox rather than a PS4.

    I'm sorry to hear this, have you tried to perform a hard reset on the console since these issues started to present themselves?

    Yes have reset the console many times. I have just managed to get the game uninstalled and the problem still persists.

    if i am to switch the xbox on and not touch the controller the xbox will remain on for several hours but as soon as i use the console (even moving around the home screen) it cuts out. This is making me think that its a software problem rather than hardware.

    Hey Josh,

    This sound obvious but have you tried uninstalling the application? As you indicated it may be the fault of the application rather than the console itself. If the issue persists after uninstalling i would attempt to factory reset the console. All of these are
    quite simple ideas but are worth a try before trying anything more in depth. Please keep me updated on your issue.

    Since you arent clear

    What do you mean by cuting out

    Di you mean the screen flickers off for 10secs

    If so then replace rhe hdmi cable usually the one included with the xbox

    If you are using a receiver or switch then use direct

    The best connection is direct

    Then optical out to receiver

    If you use a switch becareful which brand you usr I bought 4 beforr I found a good brand that didnt flicker

    This happrned regardless of console
