Xbox One S crashes after network setup

I'm on my third (!) Xbox One S. With each unit, during initial setup (click the A button, select your language, etc.), the system immediately crashes after I input my network password. It then reboots to the green Xbox One screen, I have to pick my language
again... around and around I go.

I have both a 4K TV and a 4K monitor -- each 60 Hz -- and the issue persists on both. When I initially returned the unit to Best Buy (on Pico in L.A.), I was told they'd had five other units returned because of the exact same issue.

Is there some wickedly simple fix that I'm just too dense to understand?

Brand new Xbox one s crashes and restarts or turns off

same on my one s, resets after starting a game, dashboard home crashes, if I was in the store home screen crashes and pressing guide bitton results in a errorcode being shown with no real cure except for a gard reset of the box...

I switched from a vanilla xbox one to the s due to hardware failure and noq this crap...

Are you using Time Warner as your internet service provider. If so this is a known feature with some of there internet gateways. There are two workarounds for this issue listed below. I don't really recommend the second one if it can be avoided. If you
can't use number one then first try contacting Time Warner as they should be aware of the issue and have a solution.

One is to run it wired if possible.

Two use an obsolete security protocol for your WIFI by following these instructions.

If your Gateway a TC8717T or TC8715D? If so the steps below seem to resolve others with this same problem.

1.Open a web browser.

2.Log into the router by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the internet browser. (Example
http://192.168.0.1/ )

3.The gateway will then prompt for a user name and password. The default is the user name “admin” and the password is “password”.

4.From the menu on the left select Gateway.

5.From the submenu on the left select Connection.

6.From the next submenu select WiFi.

7.Under Private WiFi Network select Edit on the Network you wan to use.

8.Select the "Show More Security Options" (allow the pop up)

9.Select WPA TKIP (about the 6th option from the bottom)

10. Press Apply. (confirm the prompt about WPS no one used that and it is kind of insecure)

11. Select Save.

I dont have xbox one x . I had xbox one the first model .. and now xbox one S .

And was crashing on some games like ff15 . Vampyr and others like witcher 3. But on witcher 3 after some updates alot of bugs and crash was removed on that updates ..

But ff15 and vampyr i pay alot for those games and years after i cannot finish those games cause they are Brocken on xbox one ..

Some other games i cannot play cause the same Crash and my xbox one s is almost new .

I am using the Xbox one S 500gb hard drive. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still the games are crashing. I have figured out that games under 7 gbs my Xbox can play but any bigger they crash after the title screen.

I'm trying to setup a new xbox one S, and am getting error code 0x89230011 during the update portion of the setup. Network connection is fine, I have another xbox one S from last year that is working correctly. I chatted with an online expert, after
troubleshooting his only recommendation is that the console is defective. But this is the second console, purchased directly from Microsoft, getting the same result. I haven't found a way to get an MS support on the phone during the virus. Anyone else having
similar issues?
