Xbox one s cord extremely loose

I haven't seen any sparks, however I've heard noises that sound like sparks - I'm not sure if it's a normal noise and I'm being dumb or if there's something wrong with the console itself as I've never owned an Xbox (or a console) before.

be sure to check that the input is free from anything and nothing is blocking the option to properly hold the power cable.

Also double check that the cable isn't damaged, it's a fairly generic cable so you could try switching it for a different one, as long as the specifications are the same.

If that's a software issue, not a hardware issue, the factory reset would work. If this is really a hardware issue, then you would need to request it to be serviced:
