Xbox One S Controller Won’t Turn Xbox One on

I just pirchased the $200 minecraft Xbox One S bundle pack and it came with a controller as well. I traded in an old Xbox One and with that console I coukd turn on my controller and it would automatically turn the console on at the same time. With my new
controller, the controller will turn on (the light will stay on) but it wont turn on the console so I have to pish thevpower button. Any ideas on what the problem may be?

Xbox controller broke

Hi. I literally just bought an Xbox one s a couple weeks ago and the controller is broken. I didn’t drop it or spill any water on it. It would randomly turn off and take forever to reconnect it. But now it won’t turn on at all.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.

 

Have you synced the controller to that Xbox?

 

Also after that connect your controller with cable. And then try to turn off the console with the controller. And then turn it on.
