Xbox one s controller rt sound

Personally, it sounds like your controller is fine functionally so if you saw XBF Chris's post, I would just keep the controller and compare to any other controllers you have.

You do also always have the option to return it to the retailer you purchased the controller from but don't wait after 30 days to make that decision.

It is like the rt trigger plastic touches with the rb causing the sound

Thanks for posting here on the Xbox forums. you have a few options here. Depending on the severity of the sound, your controller could be functioning completely normal. You can either :

1. Return the controller to the retailer for an exchange/refund.
2. Send in the controller to us if it is still within warranty. (option 1 is a better option if available. you would get your exchange right away)
3. Keep the controller. If you have other controllers to compare the triggers to, then you can tell whether or not your controller is fine.

Then it could be an issue with the right bumper being out of position because the triggers pull away and down from the bumpers so the plastic should never touch. The bumper sits in front and on top of the spring that pulls the triggers back in position
after pressing down on them.

If you hear plastic hitting plastic, then I recommend returning the controller. The triggers should feel smooth and wouldn't be audible unless you are holding the controller up to your ears.

Exactly.I can only hear it if i have it next to my ear but only the rt
