Xbox One S controller not working on windows 10

Using this controller has been difficult, I was able to play Mad Max using Bluetooth and it worked perfectly then I tried Dark Souls 1 through 3 and the controller didn't work wirelessly with them except for the analog sticks, I tried play Metal Gear Solid
V and I thought it worked until I realized that the buttons were all wrong to the point where pressing L2 not only aimed the gun but began firing it off. I tried using the controller via usb and it worked perfectly but I didn't buy this controller to have
to use a wire to play games. If anyone can offer some help that would be great thank you.

xbox one s controller right stick not working on steam

just as it seems. xbox one s controller right stick not working on steam. not able to look around with the right joystick on windows 10 in steam games. works with games from the windows store. Also causes drift in unity run time.

Xbox one S controller with android phone

The Xbox One S controller is not designed nor supported to run on smartphones. Microsoft did not issue any bluetooth controller drivers outside of Windows 10.

Anything you may have got working (or have seen working) was just partially working, generic bluetooth input drivers preinstalled on the phone itself, or unofficial third-party drivers written for the controller.

I have same problems with this controller. Drivers are broken. Microsoft shame on you.

um the One S controller blue tooth works on the One as a controller it is not just for windows 10 gaming

The Series S and X controllers work on same devices the earlier controller can connect to. This includes:

Xbox One Game receiver for Windows 10

Bluetooth (PC, Android, iOS)

Xbox One, One S, X and Series X/S.

You can't, unfortunately.

The Xbox One S controller's bluetooth function was mainly designed for Windows 10 PC users, as Windows 10 (with the Anniversary update) has the necessary drivers to properly interface with the controller, most likely to coincide with the recent "Play Anywhere"
feature for Xbox One.

With that in mind, Microsoft did not release bluetooth controller drivers for other platforms, so there is no official support of the Xbox One S controller outside of Windows 10.

I'm pretty sure the Bluetooth function of the controller is not to pair with the console, but rather a Windows 10 PC, or Windows 10 Mobile Phone (yes its confirmed). I am under the assumption the Xbox One S will not have Bluetooth, otherwise the Xbox One
S would just be a Bluetooth controller.

Theory of Game

The Xbox One console doesn't support Bluetooth. That headset won't work with the Xbox One in any way.

The new Xbox One controllers (the ones that come with the Xbox One S) have Bluetooth, but that's only used to connect the controller to a Windows 10 PC through Bluetooth.
