xbox one s controller not turning on

The headset should work on an Xbox One controller and Xbox Series S/X controllers.

Turn off the controller by holding the Xbox button on the controller until the controller turns off and unplug the headset.

On your console press and hold the Xbox console button until the console turns off, remove the power cord from the console, and wait 1 minute.

Plug the power cord into your console again, turn on the console with your controller, and when you see your console's dashboard connect the headset to the controller and see if that solves the problem.

Same here... When you turn on the xbox one x (didnt check if it happens with xbox one s) from the controller, about 5 seconds after that it looses sync to it and wont re-sync until you shut down the controller and turn it on again, tried it on 3 different
consoles with 6 different controllers, all that happened after the last update

Same thing with my Xbox One S minus the noise. Have you tried syncing it with your controller and then turning it on by holding down the Xbox Logo button on it?

I have tried turning everything off and disconnected everything, turned on the tv and connected the xbox to the amp and connected the amp to the tv making sure I plugged in to a arc input and turned that on I made sure the hdmi control on my amp was turned on my xbox will turn my amp on but my amp won't control my tv my old one s console had option to separately control both tv and amp but my series x console only has one option for cec control

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are experiencing difficulties with your controller powering on.

If batteries are not working and you've tried different ports on your PC, as well as different USB cables to use on your controller then it is likely that you would need to

request an Xbox controller replacement.

You will have to verify the warranty of your device in order to do this, which you can be done before attempting to request and exchange.
